Resource Hub
Created and funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust with a donation of over HK$125 million, JC PROcruit C has completed two successful phases in four years. Together with industry convenors and close to 500 committed and forward-looking employers, the one-year traineeship programme developed 16 emerging job roles in the four sectors, including Creativity, Technology, Business, and Healthcare for first-time-job-seekers from sub-degree and Bachelor degree holders to embark on a professional journey in promising professions. With all the positive outcomes made in Phase 1, the programme also expanded its impact in Phase 2, to graduates from Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) or equivalent.
This online Resource Hub has consolidated the industry-specific insights and achievements from two phases of the programme, including the learnings and sharings by trainees in their traineeship journey to transit from school to work. JC PROcruit C aspires to help the wider community understand how to effectively support first-time-job-seekers and demonstrate the benefits of the strength-based recruitment and talent management approach over traditional methods. The programme's experience also revealed the importance of creating new job roles to meet evolving societal and industry needs, further driving industry development in Hong Kong. These experiences, learnings, impact stories, and valuable tools are compiled within this hub.
Four People-centric Sectors
Despite we’re living in the age of transition and change, JC PROcruit C believes that people-centric skill sets and services will continue to be prized in the new normal. People-centric professions are already emerging in four sectors: Creativity for Good, Technology for Good, Business for Good, and Healthcare for Good. The two-phase JC PROcruit C collaborates with 8 industry convenors to develop 16 emerging and promising professions in these sectors, empowering young people to explore their potential and gradually embark on a career in a caring profession.
