Health Coach Trainee

To promote holistic well-being to meet service users’ physical, social, and mental health needs, young professionals and paraprofessionals will be equipped with relevant industry-specific knowledge, and will bring new energy to the delivery and management of quality healthcare services to the community.


Purposes

  • Optimising and strengthening training to support treatment therapy
  • Arranging physical exercises with use of geron-technological equipment

Potential Employers

  • Using technological products to improve the health and quality of life for service users
  • Providing including Community Services, District Health Centres, Multidisciplinary Outreaching Support Teams for the Elderly (MOSTE) and Residential Care Homes (both elderly services and rehabilitation services)
  • Targeting various service groups including the elderly, persons with disabilities, physically handicapped persons, and public

Job Duties

  • Assist the residential and community service users to actively exercise to maintain physical and mental health
  • Assist professional therapists to perform physical function assessment and training, including coordination of limbs, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, self-care functions, and fall prevention exercises
  • Assist professional therapists to design personal activity training, including device-assisted therapy, physical training, vocational training plans, and gaming activities
  • Use new technological products to assist in the specialist therapy training/daytime recreational activities
  • Perform other related support works assigned by the supervisor, from sourcing new technological training products to inviting suppliers for demonstration and support other administrative work.
